The Webdev Tech Demo

This is just a bunch of random elements to fulfill the assignment requirements. Prepare for the least coherent page since I started debugging!

While I've got you here, let me tell you about this site's development:

IT WAS A COMPLETE DISASTER!!!

If you thought teenage hubris couldn't be any more blatant, I chose an entire personal website for my first webdev project! I hosted a very simple prototype on Neocities this summer, but this class - and more specifically, this assignment - was the kick I needed to get back into it. I'm honestly shocked that I even got this far!

The only thing I really haven't figured out is making the sidebar wrap to the top on the most narrow of displays. If you have any advice on that, feel free to vivsect my code and offer feedback; It should be included in the assignment submission.

And now, the moment you've been waiting for: a who's who of low-effort code elements:

Behold, the long awaited fifth color. The rest of the site has 4 explicitly listed in the code, not including the variations generated by the inset and outset borders. This color, green, is the fifth.

WAIT, I just realized something!!! When you hover over a button in the sidebar, it turns black and white! That's two more! Two more explicitly listed colors! I didn't need this entire section!

OK, back to very very very dark red-violet. For my list, here's a list of foods:

  1. Waffles
  2. Pancakes
  3. Steak

And here are some images. Yesterday I was working on a personal logo for myself, so you're getting that:

I have 14 different images from my work yesterday, but only those three are any good, so you get screenshots of the palace from Frieren; Beyond Journey's End S1 E14 (I think)

I love catching characters mid-walk cycle. Half of the time they look great, and the otehr half they look like the pinnacle of stupidity.

I won't give any spoilers (seriously, this show is amazing. Its my first anime and I don't think I could have chosen a better show to start with. Please watch it) but he's supposed to look stupid here.

I took these screenshots as inspiration for future Minecraft builds, and I'm writing this from the e-sports room. If being a massive nerd was a disease, I would be on life support right now.
